AIS has the best network with the most capacity and spectrum. True and DTAC have good networks but you won't get the speed you do with AIS

First time I came to Chiang Mai I got a True tourist SIM at the airport, inside the arrival lounge. But the lady who was helping customers install the cards absolutely could not get it to work with my phone, so they took it back. I ended up buying a AIS card outside, opposite the shops in the airport, and that one worked, and I have stayed with AIS ever since. That was three phones ago, True would probably work with my subsequent phones, but there's no reason to switch. Actually, there sort of is.. I found I couldn't get reloads at 7-11.. I had to go to the AIS store at MAYA. But other than that, no problems. Tourist SIMs do make sense if you're going to be in town for a week, the SIM remains valid a whole year, no need to top up unless you stay more than 7 days. Next time you come, if it's within a year, you can use the balance on the card to buy more internet time, or top up as necessary.
